Terms of Service
Terms of Service
Effective date: July 30, 2026
Last updated: July 31, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Paidly mobile application and usepaidly.app (together, the “Service”). In these Terms, “Paidly,” “we,” “our,” and “us” refer to the provider of the Service.
By downloading, installing, purchasing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Paidly helps you record subscriptions, review recurring costs, monitor budgets, receive local reminders, explore savings opportunities, and export or back up your records.
Paidly does not provide financial, legal, tax, accounting, or investment advice. Prices, renewal dates, savings estimates, currency conversions, detected subscriptions, and cancellation instructions are informational estimates and may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. You are responsible for confirming charges, renewal terms, cancellation requirements, and financial decisions directly with the relevant provider.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old and at least the minimum digital-consent age required where you live. If you are under the age of legal majority, you may use Paidly only with permission from a parent or legal guardian. You must be legally able to enter into these Terms and comply with applicable law.
3. Local Data and Device Responsibility
Paidly does not require a Paidly account. Subscription records, budgets, notes, and app preferences are stored in the app’s local database on your device. Paidly does not operate a backend that stores those records.
You are responsible for:
- protecting your device, Apple ID, and Google account;
- keeping your operating system and Paidly current;
- maintaining any exports or backups you need;
- reviewing imported or detected information for accuracy; and
- safely handling files you export or share.
4. Optional Gmail Features
If you choose to connect Gmail, Paidly requests read-only Gmail access to search for likely billing and subscription messages. An initial scan searches approximately the previous 12 months and processes up to 1,000 matching messages. Paidly processes the Subject and From headers, the Gmail-provided snippet, and text from text/plain or text/html message body parts on your device. It does not call Gmail’s attachment-download endpoint or process parts identified as attachments. Paidly does not send Gmail message data or Gmail-derived values to a Paidly server, Firebase Analytics, logo providers, advertisers, or AI model providers.
You decide which detected subscriptions to save. Gmail scanning can miss subscriptions, misclassify messages, or extract incorrect information, so you must review each result.
Price Watch is an optional feature that is off by default. If you enable it, Paidly may perform an incremental read-only Gmail scan on app launch when approximately seven days have passed since the prior Price Watch scan. It may create a local notification when it detects a possible price change. Price Watch does not guarantee that you will receive notice of every price change.
You can turn off Price Watch or disconnect Gmail in Paidly’s Settings. Disconnecting revokes Paidly’s Google authorization and does not delete subscriptions you already chose to import. You can also revoke access through your Google Account.
Paidly’s Gmail features are subject to Google’s terms and availability. Additional details are in our Privacy Policy.
5. License and Acceptable Use
Subject to these Terms and applicable app-store rules, Paidly grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service on devices you own or control.
You may not:
- use the Service unlawfully, fraudulently, or to infringe another person’s rights;
- interfere with, disrupt, overload, or attempt unauthorized access to the Service or third-party integrations;
- misuse the Gmail API or bypass technical limits or security controls;
- copy, resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service except as permitted by law;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where applicable law expressly permits it; or
- use Paidly’s branding or content in a misleading way.
6. Intellectual Property and Third-Party Materials
Paidly and its licensors own the Service, including its software, design, text, and original content. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you.
You retain ownership of information you enter into Paidly. You grant Paidly no rights to locally stored subscription or Gmail data beyond the on-device processing needed to provide features you request.
Company names, logos, trademarks, cancellation websites, and other third-party materials belong to their respective owners. Their appearance in Paidly does not imply sponsorship or endorsement.
7. Free and Paid Features
Paidly may offer a free tier that allows up to five subscriptions and a paid tier called Paidly Pro. Paidly Pro may include unlimited subscriptions and Gmail results, advanced insights, budget features, price alerts, cancellation guides, CSV import, and a what-if simulator. The current feature set, eligibility, introductory offers, and prices are shown in the app before purchase and may vary by platform or region.
Features may change as the Service evolves. If a change materially affects a paid recurring service, we will provide notice when required by law or app-store rules.
8. Purchases, Renewals, Cancellation, and Refunds
Paid features may be offered as monthly or annual auto-renewing subscriptions or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Apple App Store or Google Play processes the transaction, and RevenueCat helps Paidly determine entitlement status.
The price, billing period, trial terms, and applicable taxes are displayed by the app store before you confirm a purchase. Recurring subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel through your Apple or Google account within the time specified by the applicable store. Deleting Paidly does not cancel a paid subscription.
Paidly cannot directly charge your payment method, cancel an app-store subscription, or issue an app-store refund. Refund requests and purchase disputes are handled by Apple or Google under their rules and applicable consumer law. A “lifetime” purchase provides access to the applicable Paidly features for the supported lifetime of the Service, not for your lifetime or a guarantee that the Service will exist indefinitely.
9. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled. It is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
In summary, subscription records and Gmail processing remain on your device, while limited pseudonymous analytics, purchase, and ordinary network-request information may be processed by the service providers identified in the Privacy Policy. Paidly does not sell personal information or use Gmail data for advertising.
10. Third-Party Services
Paidly may interact with Google Gmail APIs, Firebase Analytics, RevenueCat, Apple App Store, Google Play, Logo.dev, Clearbit, open.er-api.com, and website or policy hosting providers. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies. Renewal, trial, budget, and Price Watch notifications are scheduled locally through your device’s operating system.
We do not control and are not responsible for a third-party service’s availability, content, security, pricing, decisions, or performance. Paidly may change or discontinue an integration if the provider changes its service or if required for security, legal, or technical reasons.
11. Availability, Changes, and Termination
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service. Some features require internet access, third-party APIs, platform permissions, or a supported operating-system version.
You may stop using Paidly at any time. To end a recurring Paidly Pro subscription, you must cancel it through the store that processed the purchase.
We may suspend access to network-dependent features if you materially violate these Terms, misuse an integration, or create a security or legal risk. Sections that by their nature should survive termination—including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute provisions—will survive.
12. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Paidly disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
Paidly does not warrant that:
- Gmail scanning will identify every subscription or extract correct values;
- notifications will arrive before a renewal or trial deadline;
- prices, exchange rates, insights, or savings estimates will be current or accurate;
- cancellation guides will match a provider’s current process; or
- the Service will always be available, secure, or error-free.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paidly and its suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, savings, opportunity, or goodwill arising from the Service.
Paidly is not responsible for subscription charges, missed cancellations, missed or inaccurate notifications, incorrect detected information, or decisions made using Paidly’s estimates.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paidly’s total liability arising from the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for Paidly during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or the minimum amount required by applicable law.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations. In those jurisdictions, these provisions apply only to the extent permitted by law.
14. Indemnity
Where permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold Paidly harmless from third-party claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of another person’s rights. This section does not apply to the extent prohibited by consumer law.
15. Disputes and Governing Law
Before filing a formal claim, please contact support@usepaidly.app and give us a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue informally.
These Terms are governed by the law applicable to the provider of Paidly, without overriding mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. Courts with lawful jurisdiction may hear disputes. Nothing in these Terms requires a consumer to waive a right to a local court, regulator, small-claims process, or other remedy that cannot legally be waived.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, providers, or applicable law. We will update the date above and provide additional notice in the app when appropriate. Material changes apply prospectively. If you do not agree to updated Terms, stop using the Service and cancel any recurring purchase.
17. General
If a provision of these Terms is unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a reorganization, merger, acquisition, or sale of the Service. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement concerning the Service, subject to applicable app-store terms.
